We hosted a Plastalina Workshop Fundraiser to help continue our medical mission work.  

Do you remember making clay figures?  Have you ever had fun with Play-doh?  Bring back that joy and excitement! Are you looking for something new and creative to do with friends, children, grandchildren - someone who needs a little time to play? Don't we all need that right now? This would be a great, unique Birthday/Anniversary present for friends and children or for that person who 'has everything!'

This is a wonderful opportunity to have a fun-filled time and support a great cause at the same time!

EMPANADA Cooking Class

We hosted a cooking class with a native Colombian to learn how to make authentic empanadas.

Maria Lucia, a native Colombian, joined us to teach an online class, to show us how to make these delicious traditional Colombian specialties. You make the dough, the filling, and put them together. You fill them with your favorite stuffing – chorizo (sausage), beef, chicken, potato, and of course, queso (cheese)…And then you will fry, air fry, or bake them…and enjoy!

Kevin

Kevin came to us with a damaged eye, that was causing him to be bullied, and struggling socially.  We were able to arrange for him to have the surgery to implant a prosthetic eye.  This made a lot of difference in his life, as his grades improved, he interacted with people more.  As he grows, so must his prosthesis.  He has had an updated eye twice since his initial surgery.
